Frequently asked questions

PNG or JPEG — which should I pick?

PNG for documents, charts, and screenshots (lossless, supports transparency). JPEG for photo-heavy PDFs where smaller files matter more than perfect text edges.

Conversion is taking a long time

Page count is the main factor. Don't close the tab or navigate away while it's working.

Can I change the resolution?

Output is currently fixed at roughly 150 dpi. Configurable resolution is on the roadmap.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. All conversion happens locally in your browser; nothing is sent to any server.
