Privacy Policy
StayPDF ("the Service") is operated from Japan under the Japanese Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and respects your privacy to the fullest extent. This policy explains how information is handled on the Service.
1. File handling
On the Service's PDF tool pages (merge, split, compress, image-to-PDF, PDF-to-image, password removal, page organization, watermark, signature, page numbers, rotation, grayscale, page size, add text), every uploaded file is processed entirely within your browser.
- Files are never transmitted to StayPDF's servers.
- It is technically impossible for the Service's operator to view the contents of your files.
- After processing, files are discarded from browser memory. They are not stored anywhere outside your device.
This behavior is enforced at the browser level by a Content Security Policy (CSP): external network requests from tool pages are blocked by the browser itself. See the Security page for technical details.
2. Analytics
On marketing pages (the home page, blog posts, the Security page, this Privacy Policy, etc.), we use Google Analytics (measurement ID: G-9Q3VEK3X2Q) to improve the Service.
Examples of information collected by Google Analytics:
- Page views and pages visited
- Approximate location (country/city level)
- Browser, OS, and device type
- Referrer URL (where you came from)
- Time spent on the site
This is anonymized statistical data and is not used to identify individuals. Collected data is sent to Google's servers and handled under Google's privacy policy.
PDF tool pages do not load Google Analytics or any other external script. No analytics code runs on pages that handle your files.
3. Cookies
The only cookies the Service currently uses come from Google Analytics.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. If you do, Google Analytics will not measure your visit, but every feature of the Service will remain fully usable.
4. Personal information collection
The Service does not collect personal information such as name, email address, postal address, or phone number. There is no user registration or account feature.
Data collected via Google Analytics is anonymous statistical data that is not linked to any individual.
5. Advertising
The Service displays Google AdSense ads on marketing pages (home, blog posts, the Security page, this Privacy Policy, etc.) to help cover operating costs.
Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, including personalized advertising tailored to your interests.

- For third-party ad cookies, opt out at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU)
- For visitors in the EU/EEA and UK, we obtain consent under GDPR before serving personalized ads
Ads are never displayed on PDF tool pages. Content Security Policy fully blocks external scripts on those pages, so ad delivery is technically impossible there.
6. Disclosure to third parties
The Service does not sell, rent, or disclose users' personal information to third parties, except in the following cases:
- When disclosure is required by law.
- When the user has given explicit consent.
7. Contact
Questions or comments about this policy can be sent through the contact form.
Contact form submissions are processed via web3forms.com. Messages are forwarded by email to the operator and are not stored on web3forms servers.
8. Children's privacy
StayPDF is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are the parent or guardian of a child under 13 and believe they may have provided personal information to the Service, please contact us.
9. Updates to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the Service or to applicable law. When meaningful changes occur, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
