Frequently asked questions

How many files can I merge at once?

As many as your browser can handle in memory. A practical limit is around 50 files / 500 MB total. For larger jobs, merge in stages.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

No. You'll need to remove the password first. Use our PDF Password tool and then come back to merge.

A file failed to load — what happened?

Some PDFs are produced in non-standard ways and can't be parsed. The dialog lets you skip the problematic file and merge the rest.

Are my files uploaded to a server?
